Identified: Ceriana vespiformis (Paul Beuk)

Can you give me a name for this strange fly? Look the strange antennae at the end of a peduncle.

Caught in my garden, Zaragoza, Spain, sucking flowers of sage (Salvia officinalis). Size: 7-9 mm less or more.

No conopid but Ceriana vespiformis, a syrphid. Grin

Wow! Thanks you very, very much. It looks very similar to some conopids!

I had two family mistakes in only one day Pfft I don't know many the dipterans...

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
