Also by pine woodlands yesterday evening  Another puzzling one. I think it might be some kind of Wagneriini? Perhaps Periscepsia?? Whatever input about this one will be most appreciated  Thanks again!!

Oops!! I see what you mean... Perhaps Paykullia??? These flies are too new to me  I thought of Periscepsia because I could see a very pale marginal wing in contrast with the rest of the wing. I was very obvious in the fly watching it with the bare eye. Not so much in the picture due to the angle. It moved jumping on the grass flapping its wings. That's how I saw it.I don't know if the peculiar behaviour might bring some light on the identity of the cutie |

The broad calypters adjacent to scutellum speaks for Tachinidae. Some Wagneriini as you suggested Piluca.
