Tachinidae? from Romania

HI,

anther fly from Baile Herculane (Hercules Bath) taken in 7.april.2007.
aprox size was 10 mm.

maybe can be identified.

My guess is Sarcophagidae

My guess is Macquartia (Tachinidae).
One could even try to ID the possible species (dispar / viridana it seems)

Hi Theo,

this is the only view ofthat fly i have, there are available bigger photo (8 mp) but this is all i can offer.
maybe some more oppinion will come.

I had another look. The eyes are very hairy, so it cannot be Sarcophagidae.
Approaching eyes are quite uncommon in Tachinidae, however agree with Macquartia. So I have little doublt it is Macquartia.
Then, the excavation on syntergite 1 & 2 is complete, the abdomen is tesselate and the parafacialia are hairy, implying with 99 % certainty Macquartia tessellum. Indeed, a spring species.
