The wing venation is wrong for Hammerschmidtia : this is a Brachyopa.

if length is 6.5 to 8 mm, and hairs of arista about three times longer than thickness of arista at base, than it should be B. testacea. (G. vittata is much bigger and also much rarer) Gabriel |
