HI, an Anthomiid (i think) photographed at Baile Herculane (Hercules Bath) in 7.april.2007 found on a tree, aprox size 7mm cosmln EDIT: title changed 2 view, 1: Edited by cosmln on 16-05-2007 07:48 |

Anthomyia species (not pluvialis) male. According to Mike Ackland, the post-sutural lateral black spot is separated from the small spot above the wing base in pluvialis, but usually joined in the related species. Using this character, pluvialis is shown in this image - http://home.scarl...iaplu.html, but the images of "pluvialis" in Diptera.info gallery are not that species.
