For sure female of s.f. Asilinae and tribe Asilini. Probably in the Machimus group

Thanks, you're so kindSmile. But I feel more like a minesweeper and sometimes mines blow up awkward... I rely too much in keys (some maybe out of date), and I see isn't always effective. I must start to collect many specimen and increase knowledge in morphology!

Personally I loathe keys. Angry
Usually the worst method to ID common species. Very difficult to 'brew' adecuate keys, very diffilcult indeed.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
