Neoitamus should be correct, but I couldn't find a species with such dark tarsi in my keys

I think thats neoitamus cyanurus! The colour of legs are typical for this species. The legs of N. socius are darker and not so yellow. please look here  http://www.dipter...ad_id=2566 cheers markus |

Bothe species, socius and cyanurus show a high variety in most characters. SPEIGHT found only one possibilty for separation: the microtrichia on wings. If you haven't the specimen in your collection for checking, please use Neoitamus spec.. Yours Speight, M.C.D.
