Sciomyzidae
Ben Hamers
Hello,

Unlike other Sciomyzidae sp. this fly was not found on lower vegetation but walking around on a fallen treetrunk.
Size about 6 mm, two weeks ago, near Heerlen.

I think it is Pherbellia nana/annulipes, but I have to say that I've never seen this fly... And size has to be less - 3mm.

Thanks for putting me on the right trail Nikita.
I had rejected Pherbellia because I thought that the part of the head below the eye was to narrow.
The size of the fly was definitely at least 5 mm, which rules out P. nana, and P. annulipes is not present in the Dutch checklist.
So I will make it Pherbellia sp.

Narrow checkes (altougether with black rings on apexes of legs 2-3) is trusted charecters for Ph.nana-group (for both images you send).
Ph.annulipes is widespread from Scand. to South, so has to be registred in Datch too one day...
