Hello, A Lauxaniidae found in North of France, Clairmarais, the 08 may 2015, in a forest near a lake possibly Lauxania minor or cylindricornis ? Greetings, Thomas |

I have photos of a similar female and i thought about this genus (Lauxania). Shatalkin's keys mention "Basal part of wing darkened" for L. cylindricornis. I do not see a complete ring of darkness at the base of the wing on L. minor photos. So is this a reliable feature for separating the two species? Best wishes, John John and Nini. Naturalists not experts. |
