I saw this robberfly in Dutch dunes (Amsterdamse Waterleiding Duinen) last sunday. In open terrain, bare sand patches within dry grassy vegetation. Trees and forest nearby. Medium sized robberfly, say 12 - 15 mm. I thought that the white spines on the scutellum give away its identity. Is that correct? Thanks for your attention Cor Zonneveld |
