Female Syrphidae. I have got no other clues. The stain on the thorax is probably due to sun light reflection. Location: Plitvicki Ljeskovac, inland Croatia. Alt. approx.. 650m Thanks for your advice. Best regards, David |

It is a Cheilosia - a difficult genus. I suppose it could belong to the C. canicularis complex, compare http://www.eds.or...o%2009.pdf. |
