may, 4th, 2014, northern upper rhine rift, Southwest Germany, garden, 12mm

Dear forum,

is this a Merodon sp.? Merodon avidus for example? It`s the only one like this , that I have ever seen, so I am even not sure about the genus:-(

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
