Following the thread about Hydrellia puparium conforted by the good infos from Atylotus I suppose these larvae found in the same water sample were Hydrellia sp They present same cephalopharyngeal skeleton, size a little bit minor than the size of puparium (3 mm length max) creeping welts with spicules on the abdomen segments, posterior spiracles as for Ephydridae Could it be Hydrellia modesta by the mouthparts ? merci beaucoup spicules on the creeping welts mouthparts SDS Edited by solito de solis on 24-11-2015 10:42 |

Yes, this is the larva of Hydrellia. ID to species level impossible without breeding them. |
