Large cranefly with pale band down centre on abdomen and dark mark on thorax, photographed flitting around on intertidal rocks near a freshwater stream. Tipula lateralis I think. 20.9.15 north Cornwall UK 3cms. Nick Upton - naturalist and photographer |
