Someone sent me this picture with the question: 'Why is there a bubble hanging out of its mouth?' Apart from suspecting it's some kind of saliva, I couldn't really answer this. Is the fly just drooling? Or is it chewing bubblegum?
And of course ideas concerning the ID are welcome too!

I think this regurgitation play a role in digesting any food it had taken up earlier. When food is available, best take as much as you can, you can digest later. Open for better suggestions. Smile

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
