Which are the other bombyliids that has so long antennas. Usually they have small antennas. These antennas for Toxophora sp. seems like a conopid fly. Wink (from a few moments I will upload another bombyliid - new for forum as well.)

There is nothin quite like Toxophora, there is one other name on European (fuscipennis) list but i do not know if this is really a valid species of if it is weather the European recod is correct, probably not. As for antennae, it is the long scape which makes it unusual amongst Bombyliidae, but ther are other genera which are similar such as Systropus.

Yesterday I found lots of various bombyliids! It has an incredible diversity! I saw Usia spp. (there are many - yes, I collected someWink; Lomatia spp.; Bombylius spp. (totally yellow, almost golden, for example); Cyllenia rustica (we can see them near river, and away from it, indeed, we can find almost anywhere..); this bombyliid I only saw once time; Hemipenthes morio (I caught H. velutina); perhaps I caught a very big Villa sp. In resume, in just 2 hours I found almost all genus/species in diptera.info gallery. Smile
