Sorry, I overlooked this interesting post for some reason.
Frist thing that comes to mind is Ormiini. However, there are several "Ormiinoids" around, such as Eutrixopsis.

Ormiini are very well characteristed by a large "balloon" between the front coxae.

in front of and below the prosigmatic seta.

I don't see it in your picture, but maybe the angle is off. So please check yourself !

If it is not Ormiini, then
* Prosternum bare ?
* Vein R4+5 bare or only with a few setulae ?
* Arista bare ?
* Abdomen without discal setae ?


If 'yes' to all, you have Eutrixopsis.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
