It look like some Cylindromya, is it ?

Near Paris , 10 mm , june 30th 2007, on achillee.

This is not Cylindromyia, but a different genus within Phasiinae.
Look at the claws at the end of the abdomen, which are typical for Leucostomatini.

I think it is a female of Besseria or Clairvillia (Tachinidae, Phasiinae).
At the moment I can not check with key or collection specimens.

I will look it up, if someone else is not quicker.

I'd like to see some more photos please - but smaller in dimensions please. 640x480 pixels is usually enough if cropped well. Smile

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
