I know this might be tricky but can you photograph the terminalia? It looks like a male Ernestia/Eurithia (possibly Ernestia rudis) so they should be fairly large  |

Hi Dima The closest I can get (and I am fairly confident) is Eurithia connivens The small (yes "small" - consobrina has an even bigger one!!) triangular process on the syncercus is quite distinctive - along with the 3 post-sutural dc; 2 marginals on T4; and very narrow vertex. I don't think I have seen connivens very often here, so it might be one of the more uncommon species but I doubt it is 'rare', as such. I usually get anthophila or consobrina in good numbers most years. Best wishes, Chris R. |
