Certainly looks like a tachinid and with the strong facial ridge bristles & complete marginals on T4 & T5 it should be fairly distinctive but I don't recognise it myself and I would need a clearer photo (or a specimen) to be able to key it out. Smile

Metopia (Miltogramminae), either a female or a male M. campestris/grandii. Somehow, I've got the impression it's a male.

I can not see any ocellar bristles, which should be there in case of Metopia campestris/grandii. But picture is not good enough to conclude that ocellar bristles are absent.

I agree with Theo this seems to be a male.
Furthermore t2 has a median ventral bristle.
In that case it should be a male of Metopia campestris.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
