 Tachinid from Dutch dunes

I saw this Tachinid last sunday in the Dutch dunes close to Zandvoort. I think you can see the subscutellum between the scutellum and the black spot (which is not some weird shadow!). Can it be IDed? Edited by Cor Zonneveld on 09-07-2007 19:58 Thanks for your attention Cor Zonneveld |

Yes, indeed you can see the subscutellum ! The species is Prosena siberita, very typical by it's very long proboscis ('snout'  , as a Bombylius. Unfortunately, invisible with this angle !Prosena is in the Netherlands restricted to the dune area. Theo Zeegers |
