Hi Nikita, Opomyza punctella is normally a rather small species so that sounds right to me! Always nice to find Opomyza punctella; only a few specimens (if present at all) in most collections. Jan Willem |

Well, Opomyza lineatopunctata (also a small species) occasionally has extra crossveins and spots like O. punctella, but O. lineatopunctata can easily be recognized by have a dark central stripe on the thorax. So if this dark central stripe on the thorax is absent (which it looks like it is), your specimen is O. punctella. Jan Willem |

Hi Stef, Although you can't see the wings very well I think Nikita is totally right. I would also call this Opomyza florum (a male). Jan Willem |
