This species was feeding on pollen on Oreganon flowers in my garden on 21 April in Heraklion Crete |

Hi, better put this in the "Diptera (adults)" section. I'm not sure, whether the Tachinidae experts often look into the special Syrphidae section  .

Hi Jurgen I think that it is an extreme case of Tachina praeceps because T. paerceps has a variable design of black spots in the abdomen. Have a nice WE Nikos |
