Hi superpsih, it's not an ichneumonid wasp, it belongs to Sphecidae, maybe close to Sceliphron or related genera (but I'm not at all familiar with the russian fauna...). Maybe try on http://forum.hymis.de Best regards, Marc |

Sceliphron curvatum female (Sphecidae) (abdomen and legs are diagnostic). Is it really in Russia??? Here in Italy has arrived some years ago, from indian area... but didn't think was able to arrive so deep in northern Europe.
