Might be Agromyza alnivora, but there are also other animals (butterflies, beetles...) whose larvae are leaf miners - see the key for mine shapes in Dutch and English http://www.bladmi.../alnus.htm. Regards, Sundew |

It looks as if the frass is in a single, median line in the mine. That would make it unlikely to be a dipteran mine...
