This morning I saw some of these flies feeding on Urginea maritima flowers, Aracena Huelva Andalusia Spain, 540 masl.

It surely looks like a Rhyncomya, but the family is Calliphoridae, so the thread is wrong in the Syrphidae forum. The Calliphoridae experts won't find it... |

Yep, we already had this discussion (http://diptera.in...;pid=42832), but I keep to the Fauna Europaea that still says Calliphoridae... Nevertheless no Syrphid |

Paco, the thread was posted originally in the Syrphidae forum. Surely Paul moved it to its right place in the general forum As nobody seems to say anything, it will tell you: it is R. columbina for sure, a female. It is unmistakable here in Spain |
