Do you think it is another genus, then? According to the Manual of Nearctic Diptera there are three Nearctic species, two boreals and one widespread. The widespread one is C. mortuorum.

Another genus, but I am not sure! Maybe Calliphora sp. after all?
Fact is, that if you look at the pictures in the Diptera gallery, you see that this C. mortuorum has a very colored face and orange antennae.
If I look at this one, none of these colors is there. I can't imagine that the variation in these colors could be that big!

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
