Those are my first shots with a new LOMO microscope (MD 130 digital micro-ocular). Medetera insignis Girschner, 1888 [F 1868, 1900]: Ent.Nachr. 14(7): 97 [Medeterus] ** Type locality: Germany: Thuringia. Palaearctic: France, Germany * Body size 1.8 mm. 2 males and 1 female with label: Sweden: Lund & Alnarp, 8.VII.2007, I.Grichanov. The species is new for Sweden and new for N Europe. Everybody who has the Phototeque of Dolis of N Europe may add the photos to this collection. Igor Grichanov |

Thanks, Crex; thanks Paul for giving room in Gallery. I know that the species was recently found in Britain (unpubl.). Maybe very warm 2006 summer, autumn and last winter has stimulated the flies to fly northward? Igor Grichanov |
