Could anyone help with the identity of this midge? It was photographed along the Wirral Way path (a disused railway line) in Cheshire, England on 2nd June 2007. Small in size. I guess about 3-5mm. It is sitting on the underside of a Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica) leaf.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
