But this is a small fly... like that are in our houses!

A domestic fly, perhaps??

no... this is not the domestic fly (Musca domestica). Wink This is really Sarcophaga sp. Sometimes we can see them indoors.
There are small Sarcophaga sp. (about 3-4 mm) and very big (more than 7 mm) Sarcophaga sp.
When we see Sarcophaga sp. is much better to catch the male and female together.. otherwise, it will be very hard even with the specimen. Wink

It's still a sarcophagid (in my opinion) - from the red eyes, stout bristles on abdomen, bend in vein-m, and general appearance Wink Tribe Sarcophagini might be more accurate - Sarcophaga might be going too far - there are many genera that look like Sarcophaga but are smaller.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
