This Chrysotoxum was observed on 19-05-17 on gardenland within a hedge of Acer campestre an Crataegus sp. (Northern Germany, Lower Saxony). Can the species be determined? best wishes, Jann |

Female: unique among European Chrysotoxum in possessing a longitudinal, median, membranous strip on abdominal tergite 6, which effectively divides this tergite into two parts  |

I think that usually the patern of yellow markings on tergites is very distinctive ina case of Ch, cautum. The same as we can see on your picture. My English is not good enough to describe it, but I agree with your ID |
