I would say bumblebee mimic Probably Merodon equestris, see the venation of the wings. But check, wheter there is another species with sinusoide r4+5. |

Many thanks Treebeard, certainly that species. Not the best images, taken in shade without ring flash. We only have one Meredon species, an import in Victorian times with daffodil bulbs. |

Perhaps the images (a) still in the cache of your page; ( are only visible to members [who are logged in?]; (c) are only shown regionally (like BBC does not display clips outside the UK).
