Hello again, I have more in the box, I dont want to be a nuisence. This one was portraited in La Vall D'Aran (Lerida) Pyrenees, Spain at 1600 mts. in fresh grassland pasture. Calcareous soil in the proximities of a birch forest. Early July 2007.- Once again thnks very much for your efforts. Rafael |

It is a female. Females of S. stercoraria are *very* variable in colour: yellow, reddish, green, grey... I'm not 100% sure your fly is stercoraria though. Kahis |

So what are the other possibilities? Those are fairly definitely dark antennae. Very curious now
