Hello again,
I have more in the box, I dont want to be a nuisence.
This one was portraited in La Vall D'Aran (Lerida) Pyrenees, Spain at 1600 mts. in fresh grassland pasture. Calcareous soil in the proximities of a birch forest.
Early July 2007.-

It is a female. Females of S. stercoraria are *very* variable in colour: yellow, reddish, green, grey...

I'm not 100% sure your fly is stercoraria though.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
