One of two "blackish" species - Ch. festivum or Ch. vernale. Ch, vernale has black bases of femora. Some experts say that it was possible to distinguish these two species by dorsal view, but I am not self-confident enough for it. Try Steven Falk's Collections (google for them and then click to Syrphidae and Chrysotoxum genus) |
