In october Aster amelloides is good attraction for our friends - Diptera. 3-d looks like Syritta pipiens.

Top I think is a male Platycheirus, middle looks to be Erisatalis pertinax and bottom is Syritta pipiens.

Sorry, Paul is mistaken in one picture: the Eristalis defenitely is tenax. Hairs on eyes in 'bands'. Black tarsae of legs I unfortunately hardly visible, they look yellow this way. Characteristic markings on tergites look reddish. The Platycheirus is not known from western-Europe. Have to find another Russian expert on that. Edited by Andre on 04-10-2005 23:09 |
