If this was in the UK my first guess  would be male Lasioglossum calceatum, but I'm afraid I don't know what species there are to choose from in Romania.Martin Martin Harvey |

In Romania exist some more species of the 'calceatum' group, so in my opinion it is not possible to identify it . But your impression is correct, and a male of Lasioglossum calceatum is possible. Regards, Christian |

Maybe I am wrong, but I think that Cylindromyia spp mimic this genus among others. I saw these hymenopterans together with many Cylindromyia, and they looked quite similar from a distance.
