Wow, Jef. very nice! It's a male Sericomyia, but it used to be called Conosyrphus, because of the face. There are two species, endemic for the Caucasus, and I think this should be the male of Sericomyia volucellinus. Please collect at least one for me! :-) Greetings, Gerard Pennards |
