Location: Near Stockholm, Sweden Date: 2007-SEP-02 Habitat: Mushroom on dead Picea abies Size: 4-5 mm This small fly was stuck upside down on the mushroom. I wanted to look on it's upside. the third photo is funny. Look at thos "lips"  crex you should put lipstick in those "lips". I'm almost sure that this is not Drosophilidae.  |

As with all Odinids the taxonomy is still in need of some in depth revision but - judging by the fact that it was taken on Picea in Scandinavia and its relatively large size I would hazard a guess that it is O. czernyi which I have seen numerous examples reared from Picea in Finland and aslo a few from the same tree in Scotland.
