Hello is this Rhingia rostrata? I found it on Silene vulgaris in Kiental (Alpine foothills Switzerland) 03.09.2007 There were many R. campestris and only this one without black at the side. With regards Maja Edited by dipdip on 03-09-2007 14:05 |

Yes, I'd agree R rostrata, as there is no dark line along the side of the abdomen and the hind tibia is all orange. Interestingly, after years of being a rarity in the UK, it is now, quite suddenly, turning up all over the south of the UK. Nigel Jones, Shrewsbury, United Kingdom |

And I think I have seen it several times, but couln't make good fotos. If the populations are growing, I should be able to make some pictures next year.
