Hi all, I collected my first fly, but it was not an easy one. It was dead or paralyzed by a spider and I discovered that it was injured (fo instance, lacking legs). It has long light hairs in the lower part of the face (and hairy eyes) which should restrict the amount of species somewhat. Male Cheilosia latifrons or lasiopa are my suggestions, but it doesn't fit perfect. About 9 mm, Öland, Sweden, middle of May. Can anybody help? |

There should be dark bristles at the far side of the scutellum if it is lasiopa but I can't find any, only long light hairs. That's why I thought about latifrons instead. |
