Bibio clavipes
crex
Location: Near Stockholm, Sweden

Habitat: Outskirts of park

Awful old photos of a pitiful fly. Anyway, I thought I'd give it a go and see what gives ...

Edit: Changed subject (Hybotidae)

Thanks!

I would even hazard to suggest Bibio clavipes. Important features are the clear to white-looking wings, pale pterostigma, shining notum (i.e. generally lacking wrinkled appearance) narrow femora and tibia, especially in the hind legs, setae on pluerae (thoracic and abdominal) white (only just visible in the photos).

That confirms it.
B. clavipes is one of the very few autumn Bibio's.
