Hi, I went through some galleries, but I couldn't find a match so I don't know what family they belong to. Found on a wet meadow (sedges and reed), surrounded by forest (Lainzer Tiergarten, Vienna, 8.6.2018) Cheers, Lorin Edited by Carnifex on 10-06-2018 13:13 |

Ok, so Syrphidae it is. Wing venation reminded me of this family, but I expected enlarged eyes in the male, so I did not follow this route. Obviously not a trait shared among all members of the family. Is it possible to shift this thread in the syrphid forum, or should I post it there again? |
