Phoridae Sp.-> cf. Diplonevra florescens
Ray Perry
Flensburg, N.Germany, 23rd August 2018. Flew into kitchen.
Hyperactive - it flew in jerking motions from side to side, on the window, much faster than other flies.
3mm black body. Orange mouthparts. Unusually long reclinate facial setae. Long, powerful, legs. Bristled genitalia.
Flight and morphology makes me think it’s an aggressive predator.

Thank You in advance
Ray

Hi Ray, I know, Phoridae are extremely difficult to determine and I'm not an expert! But on 2018-09-13 I found a very similar one which I identified as Diplonevra florescens using that link:
http://v3.boldsys...xid=483680
and maybe it looks similar to your fly, too?
Greetings, Eric Kloeckner

Thanks Eric!

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
