Pierre-Yves
Hello everybodies,

I need your help to identify this small fly found among the dunes of the south coast of French Brittany next to a pond with reed.

Approximately 2mm, seen on September 05, 2018 in Palud Gourinet, 29710 Pouldreuzic (France)

The base of the wing is white and the crossveins are black. I did not find anything in Ephydridae... may be a Canacidae ?

thank you in advance.

Thanck you very much Tony, I was totaly lost. After some research, I found Trixoscelis marginella (I had collected a specimen).

thank you again,

This female specimen is rather similar to T. obscurella by the lacking of dark long marginal stripe along the costal and subcostal wing veins section.
