Hybomitra nitidifrons f3 laying eggs (Bel) ? ---> More likely bimaculata f
Christine Devillers
Here is the one which was laying eggs. Is it also a female of Hybomitra nitidifrons?
Belgium, Malchamps (peat bog area), 2010-06-28.

Thanks
Christine

This one, I cannot confirm.
The frons is (too ?) narrow, the palpus seems too long (but out of focus) and the abdomen seems (too) dark. More likely bimaculata .....

Thanks Theo,
Does those others pictures helps for the palpus and subcallus ?

I thought it was nitidifrons because the upper part of the subcallus seems to be shiny (subcallus was not completely mat), and the lower callus was small.

Yes, but it is very little indded and might be artificial.

The frons just seems too narrow and also too strongly tapering downwards.
Compare with your no. 2.

I could not make any postive ID, alas.
