It's an aphid (Homoptera) - not sure what family, something like Phylloxeridae or Adelgidae

I'm a little reluctant to give an opinion after the aphid/psyllid business last week but ... how about a scale insect, something near Orthezia? John Bratton Menai Bridge |

I suppose I photographed a relative: outskirts of Berlin, wood along street, on Tilia leaf, 30 June. The animal is smaller than 7 mm, though. No idea what it is, so I am as curious as Isidro about a hint. Sundew Edited by Sundew on 28-09-2007 15:32 |
