Most Chrysomyinae have weak hairs instead of distinct bristles on top of the thorax. Calliphorinae and Lucilia have typical muscoid bristles in clear rows much stronger than background hairs. |

And in western Palaearctic: black hind margins on tergites indicate Chrysomyia (not true elsewhere !) Theo |
