Dolichopodidae (?) #2: unknown --> Hydrellia (Ephydridae)
Juergen Peters
Hello!

It is silvery, but doesn't look like the Argyras in the gallery. Size only about 1.5-2 mm, on a Leucanthemum flower near forest, Ostwestfalen/Germany, yesterday. I'm not sure, whether this is a Dolichopodid at all...

Many thanks! I did not look into Ephydridae. Really looked like one of these small Dolis with its silvery shine...
Best regards,
Jürgen

It certainly does. You are not the first one to post Hydrellia as a doli on this site Smile
