Interesting picture, the victim seems to another asilid, maybe Stichopogon elegantulus, the killer reminds me of Machimus rusticus but might well be M. annulipes although Engels describes that species with more yellow tomentum. This specimen is old, the wings are damaged and it has lost most of the mystax.
