Hello, This specimen comes from Madagascar. It was in the middle of a big city (Antananarivo) in the Central Plateau, at around 1.100 meters above the sea level. According to its habitat, should be a common species in Madagascar. Please, could you tell me the tribe, genus species or any think you know? Thanks a lot, Carlos. Styringomyia (Limoniidae), not much is visible, yet of two black-coloured species known from Madagascar I'd suggest rather S. solocipennis (Enderlein, 1912) with legs uniformly black than S. leucoplagia Alexander, 1953 (femora with yellow subterminal ring). That's male (left) and apparently female (right).
